What you need depends on how you'll show you can afford the rent. Here's a quick overview.

Everyone provides

A valid photo ID and a selfie, through our identity check. Please have your original ID with you, as photos of an ID on a screen, scans and photocopies can't be used. The check is carried out securely by Plaid, which is certified to ISO 27001 for information security.
Your own bank statements for the most recent 3 consecutive months, as original PDFs

Then, depending on your situation

Employed: open banking, or your last 3 months of payslips and potentially your employment contract
Self-employed: an SA302 or an accountant's reference letter, plus your bank statements
Student: proof you're a student (student ID, proof of enrolment or offer letter) and how your rent will be paid
Using savings: bank statements for the most recent 3 consecutive months
Using family support: your family member's bank statements for the most recent 3 consecutive months and a copy of their ID

Bank statements must be the original PDF from your online banking. Scans of genuine paper statements are fine, but screenshots aren't accepted.
