What do I need if I'm employed?

What employed applicants need to provide, including open banking, payslips and employment contracts.

Written by Joe Wigoder

If you're employed, the quickest route is open banking. When you connect your bank account during your application, we can usually verify your income automatically, with nothing extra to upload.

If we can't verify your income automatically

We'll ask you to upload:

  • Your last 3 months of payslips, and potentially

  • Your signed and dated employment contract

If you've just started your job and don't have 3 months of payslips yet, we'll need your employment contract. Sometimes we'll ask for both.

Other things everyone provides

  • Photos of your original photo ID and a selfie, through our identity check. This is carried out securely by Plaid, which is certified to ISO 27001 for information security. Photos of an ID on a screen, scans and photocopies can't be used.

  • Your own bank statements for the most recent 3 consecutive months, as original PDFs

Want to strengthen your application?

You can combine your income with your own savings. If you're within your first 2 years of working, you can also use family support.
