How is my data stored and protected?

How Rentmigo stores and protects your personal data, and what your landlord can and can't see.

Written by Joe Wigoder

We take looking after your data seriously. Here's how it's kept safe.

Where it's stored

Your data is stored on encrypted infrastructure hosted by Amazon Web Services (AWS). Only the Rentmigo team members who need it for your application or support can access it.

How it's protected

  • Encryption in transit and at rest

  • Strict access controls within Rentmigo

  • Fraud detection and document checks to prevent misuse

  • We're working towards ISO 27001 certification for information security

Trusted partners

  • Plaid handles identity checks and open banking. Plaid is certified to ISO 27001 for information security and ISO 27701 for privacy, is independently audited every year to SOC 2 Type II standards, and protects your data with bank-grade encryption. Rentmigo never sees your bank login details or can move money from your account. See Plaid's security page.

  • Stripe processes card payments and is certified to PCI DSS Level 1, the highest level of payment security. Rentmigo never sees your full card details.

What your landlord sees

Your landlord or letting agent sees the outcome of your application and your guarantee details. They never see your bank statements, payslips, ID images or any family member's information.
