Whose accounts count

If your rent is going to be funded by a family member, we need the bank account statements in the name of that family member.

If your rent is going to partially or fully funded by your savings, we need the statements in your name.

If you are using accounts from multiple people, the combined total is what matters — you do not need any single account to hold the full amount.

What types of account are accepted

Accounts can be held at any bank, in any country, in any language and any currency.

The funds need to be readily accessible, not locked in a lengthy fixed-term account.

What the statements need to show

We need original bank statements covering the most recent three months.

By "original" we mean an official PDF downloaded directly from your online banking — not a screenshot, a photo taken on a phone, or a document that has been edited in any way.

The statements need to show:

  • The account holder's name

  • The account number or other account reference

  • A running balance throughout the period

  • That the required balance was maintained consistently — not just present at one point

What if the balance is not sufficient

If the statements you have provided do not show the required balance consistently, we will contact you by email to ask for additional evidence.

Investment and business accounts

Investment accounts, business accounts, and other non-personal financial products will be assessed on a case-by-case basis, as the terms and conditions of each account, in each country is different.

If you are relying on this type of evidence, please be aware that additional questions may follow.
