Overview
When your practice has Affirm enabled, marketing banners appear throughout the Patient App shopping experience. These banners inform patients that financing is available and encourage them to browse Shop — helping drive higher cart values and conversions.
This article is for practice owners and staff who want to understand where patients see Affirm messaging. Patients interact with banners automatically; no Admin Panel configuration is required beyond enabling Affirm.
Before You Start
Affirm must be enabled on your RepeatMD account. See How do my patients access Affirm as a payment option?.
Banners appear only in the Patient App (mobile web and native app).
Affirm requires a $50 minimum purchase amount. A warning banner appears when the cart total is below $50.
Why It Matters
Affirm banners increase financing visibility without front-desk explanation:
Patients discover financing while browsing — not only at checkout.
Banners on Home and Shop screens reinforce that larger purchases are within reach.
Tap-to-learn flow educates patients on how Affirm works before they add items to cart.
How It Works
Automatic placement: RepeatMD places Affirm banners in high-traffic shopping areas. You do not choose individual banner locations in the Admin Panel.
Tap behavior: When a patient taps a banner:
An instructional pop-up explains how Affirm works.
If the patient is not on a Shop screen, the pop-up includes a Shop now button that navigates to Shop.
If the patient is already browsing Shop, the pop-up focuses on Affirm education.
$50 minimum: If the patient’s cart total is below $50, an Affirm warning banner appears explaining the minimum purchase requirement. Affirm is not available for carts under $50.
Where banners appear
Banners may appear in the following locations:
Home screen — top of the screen
Shop → Browse filter
Shop → Treatments — second item in the list
Shop → Packages — second item in the list
Common Mistakes and FAQs
Q: Can I turn off Affirm banners but keep Affirm at checkout?
A: Contact your CSM or support@repeatmd.com. Banner visibility may be configurable separately from Affirm payment availability.
Q: Why does a patient see a $50 minimum warning?
A: Their cart total is below Affirm’s $50 minimum. They need to add more items before financing is available.
Q: Do banners appear if Affirm is not enabled?
A: No. Banners only appear when Affirm is active on your account.
Q: Can patients use Affirm for in-office purchases?
