With the newest version of RepeatMD, the benefits of your Memberships and its' exclusive pricing will reflect across your entire menu of services to incentivize your clients to purchase Memberships over one-off treatments.

This article covers:

  • The Rules of Membership Creation

  • Memberships versus Packages

  • Build your own Memberships

  • Membership FAQs

The Rules of Membership Creation:

  1. Less is more. Avoid analysis paralysis.

    • Overcomplicating memberships can prevent the client from identifying the value and deter them from investing in them.

  2. Easily upsell or cross-sell your Members by offering an incentive that’s applicable to all services.

    • This is typically a percentage off per membership tier that encourages Members to invest in additional treatments or packages that will enhance their experience and wind up increasing their average spend.

    • We strongly recommend against creating a singular experience for your patients. This will make it difficult for them to justify purchasing other services offered at your practice versus the ones they get a membership discount on.

  3. The “free treatment or perk a month" should cost around the same price of your monthly fee.

    • Offering free services that typically cost more than the monthly fee could end up costing you more money in the end.

    • When the redeemable treatment is approx. the same as the monthly fee, at the very least that treatment is paid for via the membership fee.

  4. Commitment lengths can affect conversion rates.

    • Internal data shows that a shorter commitment length, around a 3-6 months, produces higher conversion rates for practices.

    • To avoid commitment fatigue, we recommend setting up incremental incentives for your Patients to work towards (every 3, 6, 12 months they unlock something extra that's in addition to their monthly perk)

  5. No business is one-size-fits-all. Build memberships that work for your practice.

    • Whether it’s pricing, the number of tiers you offer, or the incentive… You want to make sure your memberships make sense for your clientele and your business goals.

💡Pro tip:

With RepeatMD, the benefits of your memberships and pricing will reflect across the app to incentivize your clients to invest in your memberships before purchasing their next treatment or package.

Enrolled members will always see their exclusive pricing across the app.

Memberships versus Packages:

You always want to ask yourself, "Would this work better as a Membership or a Custom Package?"

Memberships:

Custom packages:

  • By paying a flat monthly fee, clients get access to a more exclusive experience and savings towards all of their purchases at your practice.

  • Makes it easier to cross and upsell additional purchases.

  • You cannot finance a membership.

  • Packages are more targeted and designed with either a service sold in multiple quantities or a bundle of similar services to achieve a specific outcome.

  • Custom packages are typically more expensive. You would want to give your patients the ability to finance if possible!

Examples of top selling Memberships:

  • Tox membership

    • Usually a lower monthly fee and combined with one other incentive that brings them into the office monthly.

  • Tiered membership offerings such as Silver, Gold, Platinum

    • Flat monthly fee with increases as each tiered incentive grows in value.

    • Brings your clients in monthly allowing you to cross and upsell them.

Examples of top selling Custom Packages:

  • "Modern Weight Management"

    • Includes 1 basic lab report, 12 injections, and 4 in-body scans.

  • "Mix n Match Removal"

    • Includes 6, 30 minute sessions of LHR for 4 small areas on the body.

  • Facial Rejuvenation:

    • Includes 30 units of tox administered every 6 months and 2 syringes of filler a year.

🔑 Knowing this information will set you up for success so you can sell more of your services, increase membership retention, and drive a more steady monthly recurring revenue for your practice.

Make sure offering a Tox membership is right for your practice.

  • Practices will sometimes incorporate their tox incentives into their tiered membership programs to lock clients into a higher monthly fee and encourages them to try more of your services increasing their lifetime value.

  • Tox memberships might not make sense to businesses that don't see their botox patients monthly.

  • Some practices will charge $35/mo and add a perk such as B12 shot. This adds in more value and an additional opportunity to cross and/or upsell!
