How to revert the status of an order or generate a new shipping slip

A guide on how to generate a new shipping label for your customers and how to revert the status of a submitted request.

If you need to update an order status or send a new shipping label to your customer, you can do this directly from the order in Returbo.

Can I revert the status of an order?

Yes — you can revert the status of orders that are in:

  • Incoming

  • Pending approval

This allows you to move the request back to a previous stage, such as Request submitted.

Note: This is not possible for merchants using the Ongoing integration. The Ongoing integration will disable this feature.


How do I revert an order status?

  1. Go to the order you want to update in the Returbo app

  2. In the upper right corner, click the three vertical dots (next to “Change request type”)

  3. Select Revert status

  4. Confirm that you want to revert the status

Once completed, the order will move back to the previous stage.


How do I generate a new shipping slip?

To generate a new shipping slip, the order must be in Request submitted status.

After reverting the order:

  • If you have automatic shipping label generation enabled
    → A new shipping slip will be created automatically based on your configured rules

  • If you are using manual shipping label generation
    → You can choose the shipping carrier and generate the label yourself


Will the customer receive the new shipping label?

Yes — once the new shipping slip is generated, the customer will automatically receive the new shipping label via email.


If you don’t see the option to revert status, double-check that the order is in the correct stage and that you’re not using the Ongoing integration.
