Returbo can automatically generate return shipping labels for your customers, so you don't have to create them by hand every time a return or exchange comes in. This guide explains how autogeneration works and how to set it up.
How Autogeneration Works
There are two ways a label can be autogenerated, depending on your settings:
Auto-approval is turned on for returns and exchanges. Your customer gets a shipping label automatically as soon as they submit a request.
Auto-approval is turned off (or the request is a complaint). The request will first show as Request Submitted. All you need to do is click Confirm and Generate, and Returbo will autogenerate the label for you based on your ranking and country rules (you won't need to pick a carrier manually).
In both cases, Returbo decides which shipping carrier to use based on the ranking you've set up, and any country rules that apply. You'll find the generated slip in your Returbo Dashboard.
How to Activate Autogeneration
Before you turn this on, make sure you have a shipping carrier activated. The autogeneration setting won't appear until at least one carrier is active.
Go to Settings > Integrations > Shipping.
Turn on Autogenerated Return Shipping Slips.
Rank your shipping products so Returbo knows which carrier to try first.
For example, you might rank PostNord Return first, and DHL Freight Service Point Return second. If the first option isn't available for a given request, Returbo will move on to the next one in your ranking.
Setting Up Country Rules
Country rules decide which shipping carrier products can be used for which markets. This works alongside your ranking to make sure the right carrier is offered in the right country.
For step-by-step instructions, see How to Set Up Country Rules for Shipping Carriers in Returbo.
Once your ranking and country rules are both set up, Returbo will autogenerate labels automatically, following those rules.
If You Use ShippyPro
If your store uses ShippyPro, autogeneration works a little differently. Instead of following your Returbo ranking, Returbo will follow the rules you've set up in ShippyPro and choose whichever carrier has the lowest cost for that market.

Next Steps
Once autogeneration is set up, you shouldn't need to think about labels again, Returbo will handle the rest based on your rules. If you run into any issues or have questions about your setup, our support team is happy to help.
