Admins can upload a file to any submission from its Attachments tab, at any time, even after the applicant has submitted or the submission deadline has passed. Open the submission from Data Management › Submissions with the eye icon, select the Attachments tab above the form, and click Upload Attachment. Each file can be up to 500 MB.
This applies to event admins. Submitters upload files through the upload questions on their own submission form.
Steps
Hover over Data Management (the clipboard icon) and select Submissions.
Click the eye icon next to the submission to open it.
Select the Attachments tab above the form.
Click Upload Attachment.
Enter a File Name and, if you like, a Description.
Choose Upload to add a file from your computer, or Link to add a web link.
Click Upload and Save. The file now appears in the submission's Attachments tab. It shows only on the Attachments tab, not in the form's upload questions.
What can I do with a file on the Attachments tab?
Each file on a submission's Attachments tab has icons for managing it:
Eye icon: view the file.
Pencil icon: open the file's settings to replace or rename the file. Admins can also change the file's permissions here.
Arrow icon: download the file.
Trash icon: delete the file.
Who can see a file on the Attachments tab?
Each file has a permission setting for each user type: Hidden, View Only, or Viewable & Editable. Every new file gets the same default settings, whether a submitter or an admin adds it, through a form question or directly on the Attachments tab:
Competitors/Submitters: Viewable & Editable
Reviewers: View Only
Reviewer Managers: View Only
Event Admins: View and Edit
So reviewers can see every file on a submission unless an admin changes that file's permissions. Only admins can change them, from the file's pencil icon.
Note: If blind settings are on for reviewers, all attachments are hidden from them, whatever each file's permissions say.
Admins can edit any file at any time, unless the Reviewr team has set that file to Hidden or View Only for Event Admins.
If that didn't work
A reviewer can't see a file on a submission
Check whether blind settings are on for reviewers, which hide all attachments. If they're off, open the file with its pencil icon and check its permissions: reviewers need View Only or Viewable & Editable.
A submitter can't add a file after the deadline
After the submission deadline, submitters can't change files through their form. On the Attachments tab they can still remove, replace or rename files they already uploaded, but they can't add new ones. To add a file for them, upload it yourself with Upload Attachment.
Required questions stop me getting to the upload question when I edit the form
You don't need to edit the submission form to add a document. Upload the file on the submission's Attachments tab with Upload Attachment instead, which doesn't ask you to answer required questions.
I need to replace a file with a redacted version
To swap a file on a submission, use the pencil icon on the Attachments tab to replace it. Or delete it with the trash icon, then upload the redacted version with Upload Attachment › Upload and Save.
The file is too large to upload
Reviewr accepts files up to 500 MB each, including PDF, Word, image and video files. Compress the file or export it at a lower quality, then upload it again on the Attachments tab.
