CSVs can be used for a variety of reasons, whether you want to upload a list of patients that you would like to reach out to at one time, or you are using a Patient Management System of which Aloha doesn't currently have an integration, they're a useful tool to help you get the most out of your Aloha account.

To get started, you'll need to have a CSV File ready to go. You can either make one manually in Microsoft Excel or in Google Sheets, or you can grab one from your Patient Management System by running a report. If the report exports as an Excel file, you should be able to upload that file into either Excel or Google Sheets and export it as a CSV File.

Once you have the file ready, Go to the CONTACTS tab > IMPORT CSV page.

On this page, you can upload data that can be used for Campaigns, Tags, Feedback Requests, Appointment Reminders and more.

The file MUST be in CSV format. CSV stands for Comma Separated Value. If the list you have is in an excel format you can SAVE AS or EXPORT AS a CSV File.

From the first drop-down menu, select Contact Data Only, Appointment Data Only, or Contact/Appointment Data. (You only need to include Appointment Data if it is relevant to what you want to do, like send Appointment Reminders or trigger Campaigns based on the Appointment.)

Next, select what you would like to do with the data from the Action drop-down menu. You can do MASS Opt-in/Out-outs, Apply a Tag, Remove a Tag, Start a Campaign or Pause a Campaign.

Next, click on Pick CSV File and select the CSV file that has been created for upload!

Ideally, your CSV File will be formatted like the example below:

The image below will reflect what fields are needed to be uploaded in order for specific fields to be triggered.

When you select your CSV File you will then verify the fields. Make sure the drop down menu identifies the correlating fields to the left.

Then click the IMPORT CSV button and you are all set!
