Whether you're just getting started with patient referrals or want to customize the entire experience, Aloha lets you enable and edit your texting referral requests with just a few clicks.


How to Turn On Texting Referral Requests

To enable referral texts for patients who leave feedback:

  1. Go to Feedback > Feedback Settings

  2. Under the first dropdown (below your review links), select Referral > Add Element

  3. Drag the new “Referrals” row to where you want it in the review rotation
    (Most practices place it after the Google Feedback Request)

  4. Click "Save Sharing Links"

Once activated, referral texts will send automatically after a patient completes a review — prompting them to share your practice with friends and family.


🖊️ How to Edit Your Texting Referral Message and Coupon

You can fully customize the text, image, and scheduler used in your referral messages.

  1. Go to Feedback > Show Templates

  2. Scroll down to "Texting Referral Request" and click Edit

    • Change the message your patient receives

    • Replace the default coupon image with your own

  3. For more settings:

    • Go to Feedback > Referral Settings

    • Choose a custom Scheduler to embed in the coupon (optional but recommended)

    • Click Save Settings once everything looks good

  • A patient receives a referral message after their review

  • The message includes your custom image and text
