Once your patients are tagged in ALOHAยฎ, you can use those labels to send targeted texts or start automatic message sequences. This guide will show you how to turn your tags into powerful communication tools.

Prerequisites/You'll Need:

  • Existing tags already created in ALOHA.

  • Message templates (optional, but helpful!).


1. Start a Campaign Based on a Tag ๐ŸŽฏ

  1. Go to Campaigns > Show Campaigns and click +Add.

  2. Under Type, select Tag Applied.

  3. Select the tag you want to use as the trigger.

  4. Click Add Campaign.

  5. Click +Add Step to choose your message (Text or Email) and set the delay (how soon it sends).

  6. Save your steps. Now, whenever you tag a patient, this sequence starts!

2. Send a One-Time Bulk Message ๐Ÿ’ฌ

  1. Go to Contacts > Send Bulk Message.

  2. Choose Text, Email, or both.

  3. Under Recipient Criteria, select Tagged with, then select the tag you want to message.

  4. Type your message or choose a "Saved Reply."

  5. Click Preview to review the list, then click Send Now.

3. Automatically Add a Tag During a Campaign ๐Ÿ”

  1. Open an existing campaign and click +Add Step.

  2. Select Add Tag as the action.

  3. Choose which tag to apply (e.g., tagging a lead as an "Existing Patient" once they finish a welcome sequence).

  4. Save the step.

What to Do

The campaign didn't start for a patient.

That patient may not be tagged.

Manually apply the tag to that patient under the Tags section of their Contact Profile.

I want to stop a campaign for one person.

They may no longer need the automation.

Go to the patient's profile and remove the tag from their profile.

The Bulk Message count is lower than my tag list.

Some patients may not have a valid mobile/email on file or they are opted out of messaging.

Check your tagged patients to confirm their contact information and opt in status.
