Creating a New Pipeline: A Step-by-Step Guide

Creating a new pipeline in your platform can significantly enhance your workflow and data management. This guide is designed to help you navigate the process quickly, ensuring you can set up your pipeline efficiently.

Accessing the Pipelines Module

  1. Navigate to the Pipelines Module:

    • Begin by navigating to the Pipelines module in your platform. This is where you'll manage and create new pipelines.

Initiating a New Pipeline

  1. Start a New Pipeline:

    • Once in the Pipelines module, locate the New Pipeline button at the top right corner of the listing page. Clicking this button will start the process of creating a new pipeline.

Naming Your Pipeline

  1. Provide a Name:

    • Give your new pipeline a name that makes it easy to reference in the future.

CRM Association

  1. Automatic CRM Channel Association:

    • By default, the name of the associated CRM Channel will populate automatically to streamline the setup process.

Funnel Mapping

  1. Configure Funnel Stages:

    • Enter Display Name: Enter a display name for the selected funnel stage.

  • Create Relationships: Create relationships between two levels; the formula field will be computed automatically.

  • Modify Levels: Change levels at any time and delete levels if needed.

  • Move Stages: Drag and drop stages by dragging the three vertical lines next to the display name.

  • Revise Formula Fields: Update the attached formula field accordingly when changing levels.

  • Delete Stages: Delete any stage except the first stage.

  • Add New Stages: Click the Add Stage icon to add new stages to the pipeline computation.

  • Revenue-Based Computation: Note that the pipeline computation is based on revenue, and this field is hardcoded.

Pipeline Mapping

  • Map the Pipeline:

    • Object Selection: The system will pick the object based on the funnel stages selected during the mapping.

    • Field Selection: Select the respective field value for the system-chosen object.

  • Eligible Values

    • Values: Values are unique and vary based on the object selected on the pipeline creation page.

    • Users must select values to determine the forecasting fields.

    • Only the selected values will be included in the chosen fields' calculations.

Setting Revenue Target

  1. Define Revenue Target:

  • Revenue Goal: Enter your goal for a specific period (mandatory).

  • Goal Duration: Choose between two frequencies: This Month and This Quarter.

  • Historical Date Range: Select between the Last 12 Months and the same period last year to compare the revenue goal with the chosen historical data.

Finalizing Your Pipeline

  1. Complete the Setup:

    • Click the Calculate button to process the information for the chosen stages, finalizing your pipeline setup.

Following these steps, you'll create a new pipeline tailored to your needs. This guide is intended to make the process as straightforward as possible.
