Custom Metrics in Revlitix empower you to define and track performance indicators tailored to your organization's unique goals.

Unlike standard metrics, Custom Metrics allow for personalized benchmarks, providing deeper insights into specific user interactions and business actions.




Why Use Custom Metrics?

Custom Metrics offer flexibility and precision in reporting by enabling you to:​

  • Track Specific Interactions: Monitor user behaviors relevant to your business objectives.

  • Align with Business Goals: Create metrics that reflect your organization's unique KPIs.

  • Assess Performance: Evaluate success based on customized benchmarks.​


How to Create a Custom Metric

Follow these steps to set up a Custom Metric in Revlitix:


Step 1: Add Fields

  • Navigate to your reporting tool and click on Add Fields.


Step 2: Select Custom Metric

  • From the dropdown menu, choose Custom Metric.


Step 3 : Provide a Field Name and Description

  • Field Name: Enter a clear and descriptive name for easy identification.

  • Description: Add a brief explanation of the metric's purpose.


Step 4 : Specify the Channel and Object

  • Channel: Select the relevant channel (e.g., website, app).

  • Object: Choose the specific object (e.g., user, transaction) to analyze.​

Step 5: Choose the Data Type

  • Select the appropriate data type from the dropdown menu:

    • Number

    • Percentage

    • Currency

    • Date Difference


Step 6 : Add Variables

  • In the Variables section, include relevant metrics for your analysis.

  • Add new variables as needed or remove them using the Delete icon.

Step 7 : Enter the Formula

  • Input the formula that defines how the variables combine to form the custom metric.

Step 8 : Select the 'Trend Type'

  • Choose whether the trend is Positive or Negative to indicate how it should be interpreted in reports.​


Step 9 : Create the Custom Metric

  • Click Create to finalize the Custom Metric.

  • You can edit or delete the metric later from the custom metric listing page.


By leveraging Custom Metrics, you can tailor your analytics to better reflect your organization's unique performance indicators, leading to more informed decision-making.​
