Sometimes, you may need to edit product data linked between Rewaa and an e-commerce platform (Salla, Zid), such as the product name, quantity, SKU, etc. Some edits can affect the product linkage, while others may only affect the product data or have no impact at all. Below is an explanation of how these edits impact linked products:
Edits That Affect Product Linkage
Editing the SKU (Product Identifier):
The product is linked correctly when the SKU matches between the platforms. If the SKU changes, the product link is removed.
⚠️ When changing the SKU:The product status changes to "Not Linked."
To relink the product, navigate to:
Apps > Manage Products > Search for the product > Click "Link."Example: If a product is initially linked with SKU (123) on both platforms and the SKU is updated on one, the product will become unlinked. Update the SKU on both platforms to match and relink the product.
For simple products: The link is removed entirely.
For variable products: Only the specific variant with the changed SKU will be unlinked.
Example: If a "Glass Cup" product with color variants (Red, Blue, Green) is linked correctly, editing the SKU for "Red" will unlink only the Red variant, while the others remain linked.
Editing the Ratio of a Product Inside a Composite Product (with Salla):
The ratio (quantity of items within the composite product ) must match between platforms. If the ratio of any product inside the composite product changes, the composite will be unlinked. Ensure ratios match to relink the composite product.
Edits That Affect Product Data in E-commerce Platforms
Editing/Changing Product Quantity:
The quantity in Rewaa is always synchronized with the e-commerce platform for linked products. Any manual changes to quantity in Rewaa (e.g., stock adjustments, sales through Rewaa POS, purchase invoices, or inventory counts) are reflected on the e-commerce platform.
⚠️ Changes made directly on the e-commerce platform will not reflect in Rewaa.
This may cause quantity discrepancies and lead to order errors or suspensions.
Edits That Do Not Affect Linkage or E-commerce Product Data
Editing Product Details:
Changes to product details in Rewaa (e.g., name, description, price, category) do not reflect on the e-commerce platform.
You can sell the same product under different names or prices on each platform. Changes to these details (except SKU and quantity) do not impact linkage or product data on the e-commerce platform.

1. I changed the SKU, and the product was unlinked. How can I relink it?
To relink the product:
Update the SKU on both platforms to match.
Go to: Applications > My Apps > Product Management > Search for the product or SKU > Click "Link."
The product will be relinked, and you can process orders normally.
2. What happens if I sell with negative stock in Rewaa?
If a product's quantity in Rewaa becomes negative, the e-commerce platform will display the quantity as "0."
3. I updated the product name and retail price. Can I republish it to reflect changes on the e-commerce platform?
Republishing is not supported for this purpose. Any edits made to product details in Rewaa will not reflect on the e-commerce platform. Changes must be made manually on the e-commerce platform.
4. If I edit product details on the e-commerce platform, will they reflect in Rewaa?
No, edits made directly in the e-commerce platform (Salla, Zid) will not sync to Rewaa for linked products.
