Why was I asked for 3D Secure or BankID verification

This is Strong Customer Authentication (SCA) required by PSD2 to protect you from fraud and confirm you are the rightful cardholder. You may be asked to approve the payment in your bank app, with 3D Secure, or via BankID in the Nordics. BNPL (Klarna, Qliro) may also ask you to verify your identity in their app and can perform a credit assessment which may include a soft credit check. If you skip or close the verification step, the payment will fail—please try again and keep your banking or BNPL app open and notifications enabled.
