When a PHA is finalized, a project coordinator may want to ensure the PHA Dataset is not editable by other users. There are many scenarios such as this during a PHA Lifecycle in which it is beneficial to Lock a PHA Project for editing.

LivePHA now has the functionality to lock a project from editing by other users.

Who can Lock and How to Lock a Project

Users that can lock a project:

  • Any Edit User

  • Any Project Management User

  • Any Company Administrator

A user can Lock a project from the bottom left corner of the "Information" Tab of a LivePHA Project Settings. Simply select the Lock Toggle to lock the project. All projects by default are unlocked.

Once a project is locked, it is considered "Read Only" to all users except the user who locked the project and those with Project Management permissions.

Users will see a blue banner on the LivePHA Worksheet, which will indicate who locked the project and when. This is to assist in knowing who to reach out to in case the project is required to be unlocked for any reason.

Actions Allowed while a Project is Locked

Two types of users can edit while a Project is Locked, to simply minimize unexpected changes by the majority of other users.

  • The specific Edit User that locked a project

  • Any user with a Project Management permission (to minimize negative unintended impacts by locking)

For all other users, the project is essentially "Read Only" and can still:

  • Filter Data and

  • Export Data
