You can choose a participating pharmacy in any state where SafeGard is available, as long as you're able to visit it in person to receive your vaccines and medications. The traveler must meet the minimum age for the state where that pharmacy is located.
Example: New York and New Jersey
SafeGard isn't available in New York, but it is available in New Jersey. If you're able to visit a participating pharmacy in New Jersey (such as a Costco pharmacy) in person, you can complete the consultation as long as you are 18 or older, which is New Jersey's minimum age.
Age requirements
Minimum ages vary by state. The traveler must meet the minimum age for the state where their pharmacy is located, or they aren't eligible for SafeGard. For each state's minimum age, see What is the minimum age to use SafeGard? For the list of states where SafeGard is available, see Where is SafeGard available?
Things to keep in mind
You'll need to go to the pharmacy in person to get your vaccines and pick up any medications, so choose a location you can easily get to.
Not every pharmacy participates. Contact us or the pharmacy to confirm that your chosen location offers SafeGard.
If you need to switch to a different pharmacy later, see How do I change pharmacies or transfer my prescriptions?
Have questions? Contact SafeGard support and we'll help you find a participating pharmacy.
