Overview

Message Templates are pre-written messages you can create, save, and reuse across multiple campaigns. You can manage all your templates in one place from the Templates tab.

Templates can be created directly on the Templates page or while setting up and managing campaigns. You can also attach the same template to multiple campaigns.

Creating a template

  1. Go to the Templates tab and click the Create New button in the top-right corner.

  2. Select the message type, which can be: Connection Message, Follow-Up, Open InMail, and Email.

  3. Add a template name (required)

  4. Create your message - Use the personalization tags above the message box to automatically pull in contact details from their LinkedIn profile.

Tag

What it inserts

First Name

Contact's first name

Last Name

Contact's last name

Company

Contact's company name

Location

Contact's location

Title

Contact's job title

5. When you insert a personalization tag other than first and last name, you'll be asked to set a fallback text. A fallback text is what appears if that information isn't available on the contact's profile.

Example: If you select Company with a fallback of "your company," the message will read "your company" when no company name is found.

Custom 1 and Custom 2 fields are available only for CSV imports and API.

5. Click on Preview your Message to see exactly how it will appear to the recipient.

6. Click Create to save your template.
