Understanding Your Customer Data

What customer data is available to me?

Your SauceyDirect dashboard gives you access to customer-level data that can help you understand who is ordering, how often, and what they're buying. Key data points include:

  • Total number of customers who have placed orders

  • New vs. returning customer breakdown

  • Average order value per customer

  • Most frequently ordered products

  • Customer order history

How do I find my customer data?

Navigate to the Reports > Customer Summary section of your Merchant Dashboard. You’ll have access to a list of customers with names, order count, and total spend. You can filter by date range to see trends over time.

Tip: To include customers who haven’t placed an order, set the date range to “All Time”.

How should I use this data?

Customer data is most valuable when it shapes your business decisions. Some practical ways to use it:

  • Identify your top products and make sure they're always in stock and well-featured on your storefront

  • Notice if repeat customer rate is dropping — this may signal a fulfillment or quality issue worth investigating

  • Use high-order-value customer segments to target loyalty promotions or exclusive discounts

  • Spot peak ordering times and staff accordingly

Can I export my customer list?

You can export order data including customer information as a CSV from the Reports tab. This can be used for your own records or to build marketing lists, subject to applicable privacy laws in your jurisdiction.

Note: Customer data is provided for business purposes only. Always handle customer information in accordance with your privacy policy and local data protection laws.
