What to do if the Smart Aroma Diffuser 2 isn't misting?

It can happen that your Smart Aroma Diffuser 2 doesn't diffuse scent. Follow these steps to check what's going on.

Step 1: Check the power and basic settings

  • Power supply: Check that the power adapter is properly connected to the outlet and the diffuser.

  • Ambient light: Is the orange light on? This light should turn on by default as soon as the device gets power.

  • Switch position: Check that the device isn't accidentally set to "OFF" via the physical button on the diffuser.

Step 2: Check your app schedule

The diffuser only works at the times you've set.

  • Is it a working period? Check in the Scentech app whether the diffuser is currently in a break ("Non-working period"). For example: it's now Monday morning at 9:00, but my program doesn't start until 10:00.

  • Is it a working day? Check in the app whether the current day of the week is checked.

Step 3: Check the hardware and setup

  • Position: Make sure the machine is always standing vertically. If the device has been lying flat, this can disrupt its operation.

  • Oil level: Check that there's enough essential oil in the 120ml bottle.

  • Bottle attachment: Check that the bottle is screwed firmly into the misting head.

  • Tube: Pull the diffuser head up and check that the white tube is still properly attached and hasn't come loose.

Step 4: The manual test (without the app)

To rule out the app settings as the cause, run a manual test on the device itself:

  1. Repeatedly press the Grade button briefly until the diffuser is set to G3 (the highest setting).

  2. Set the timer function using the button until the level 1H (1 hour) is selected.

  3. Wait a few minutes to see if misting starts.

Still not working?

If no mist comes out of the device after this manual test, please contact our customer service right away so we can help you further.
