Not everything has to be automated.
Sometimes you just want to move money right now. There are two ways to do it: make a one-time transfer, or, if you already have a rule set up for it, use Run Rule Now.
That’s where One-Time Transfers come in.
With a one-time transfer, you can move money between any accounts connected to Sequence:
Pods
Income Sources
External accounts
Destination accounts
Two Ways to Make a One-Time Transfer
1. Drag and Drop
Hover over the account you want to send money from.
Click and drag from the + button that appears.
Drop the line onto your destination account (just like you would when creating a rule).
Instead of picking a trigger (date or incoming funds), click the third option: One-Time Transfer.
Fill in any optional description, confirm the details, and you’re done.
2. Quick Button
Click the One-Time Transfer button in the top right corner.
Choose your source and destination accounts.
Enter the amount, add an optional description, and confirm.
The optional description you add to a one-time transfer is a short memo (up to 10 characters) that shows up on the recipient’s bank statement, so you can label what the transfer is for.
Already have a rule for this? Run it now
If a rule already moves money the way you need, you don’t have to recreate it as a one-time transfer. Open the rule’s Settings panel and click Run Rule Now to fire it immediately with your current balances, without waiting for its trigger. This is also handy if a rule failed earlier for insufficient funds and you’ve since topped up. See Rule Settings for the details.
That’s it. Whether you make a one-time transfer or run an existing rule now, the money moves right away, no waiting for a trigger.
