You can switch plans anytime (upgrades, downgrades, or switching billing intervals) and Stripe (our billing partner) makes the math seamless.

How Plan Switching Works

Upgrading

  • When you upgrade mid-cycle, your new plan starts immediately

  • Stripe automatically applies prorated credits for any unused time on your old plan

  • You’re billed right away for the difference to cover the remainder of your cycle at the new rate

Example:
If you switch from Starter to Pro halfway through your billing cycle, you’ll get credit for the unused half of Starter and only pay for the remainder of Pro.

Downgrading

  • When you downgrade mid-cycle, your current (higher) plan continues until the end of your billing cycle

  • The downgrade takes effect automatically at your next renewal date

  • This prevents you from losing features you’ve already paid for

Example:
If you switch from Pro to Starter on May 10, but your renewal date is May 30, you’ll stay on Pro until May 30. On that day, your account switches to Starter and your billing lowers accordingly.

Billing Anchors & Consistency

  • Your billing date stays the same even when switching plans

  • All charges and credits apply against that same anchor date

Invoices & Receipts

  • You’ll always receive an invoice for any plan change, showing prorations and credits

  • Stripe also emails you a receipt for every successful payment

Next up: we’ll cover Canceling a Plan & Refund Eligibility, so you know what happens if you ever need to stop your subscription.
