In this article we cover:

What is a workflow?

A workflow or drip campaign is a series of scheduled, automated activities. With Shaker workflows, you can schedule emails, text messages, and tasks to be sent or completed at specific times such as home anniversaries or after you receive a new lead.

Creating a workflow

  1. Go to Settings and select "Workflows".

  2. Name your Workflow

  3. Add your first step (delay, email, text, or task you want to kick off your campaign). If you want the workflow to kick off immediately when a contact is enrolled without delay, add your desired action as the 1st step.

  4. Set the delay you would like before your next email or task.

  5. Repeat the process for the number of emails/tasks you would like to take place.

  6. Turn your workflow on once it's ready

  7. Select contacts to enroll

Note: To send an email or SMS message from a workflow, you first need to create a message template.

Enrolling Contacts in a Workflow

Contacts can be enrolled in workflows based on "tags" associated with their contact record. Contacts can be added to workflows in one of three ways.

Directly from a workflow page

  1. To add contacts directly from the workflow page: Click the "Enroll" button

  2. Select the tag(s) associated with the contacts you want to be added. Example: Past Buyer, Lead, etc.

  3. Click enroll to save

From your contact list

  2. Select all contacts with that tag

  3. Click enroll in workflow and select the correct workflow.

From an individual contact page

  1. Navigate to the contact you want to enroll.

  2. Click on "actions" and "Enroll in a Workflow"

  3. Select the correct workflow and save.
