You can invest in companies and ETFs listed on the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Nasdaq, Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), and the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX).
The difference between companies and ETFs
Companies: when you invest in a company, you’re picking a specific company you want to buy shares in. All the money you invest at any one time, minus any fees, gets invested into that specific company, and buys you a portion of ownership into that company.
ETFs: an ETF is a fund you can invest in. ETFs may invest in a group of companies or sometimes even other funds. ETFs are traded on a stock exchange.
