Investment requests

We’re often able to add companies or funds to Sharesies based on certain criteria.

Sharesies offers investments across the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), Nasdaq, Chicago Board Options Exchange (CBOE), Australian Securities Exchange (ASX), and the New Zealand Stock Exchange (NZX). We’re unable to add companies or exchange-traded funds (ETFs) to Sharesies outside of the exchanges we offer.

US companies and ETFs

Sharesies contracts DriveWealth, a US-regulated broker dealer, to arrange execution, clearing, and settlement of any buy and sell orders placed on US exchanges on your behalf. For DriveWealth to consider adding a company, it needs to meet all of the following criteria:

  • the company has recently undergone (or is about to undergo) an initial public offering (IPO) on one of the US exchanges available through Sharesies. Over-the-counter (OTC) investments aren’t available

  • the company has a market capitalisation of at least $300 million USD

  • the company’s trading price is at a minimum of $5 USD price per share.

Australian companies and ETFs

Generally, Sharesies can look to add most companies and funds listed on the ASX, though it might not always be possible to add every one. Message the team at help@sharesies.com.au with your request!

NZ companies and ETFs

Sharesies offers nearly all investments on the NZX Main Board. In rare cases where the company has special ownership requirements of the investment, or the investment is extremely illiquid, it might not be available through Sharesies.

For example: Livestock Improvement Corporation Limited (LIC) requires an investor to be a dairy farmer in their co-op. This company isn’t available on Sharesies.
