Regular lessons are like a temporary subscription to your chosen tutor. They are the best way to confidently reserve a regular timeslot with them.

When a regular booking is confirmed by both sides, the next 13 weeks are reserved just for you. As soon as one is completed, another is added to the schedule on a rolling basis.

Each lesson is paid for 24 hours before it is due to start.

Why Book a Regular Lesson?

Our most popular tutors are always being contacted by new students when they become available, so it is worth reserving a regular slot with the tutor.

Setting up a Regular Lesson

Generally, regular lessons work the same as any other - choose your subject and level, and how often you would like lessons to get started.

Pick between weekly, twice a week or fortnightly sessions on a regular basis.

You will choose the start dates and times and these will then be scheduled in based on your chosen frequency.

Once the booking request is accepted by the tutor, these will auto-renew each week until one side cancels all sessions.

Managing a Regular Booking

It's easy to view and manage the lessons in your regular booking with a tutor. Navigate to your Bookings page and click the green 'Edit' button to view more details.

You can identify regular bookings as they will say "Repeats every Sunday", for example, under the lesson time.

If you need to change the time of a lesson, request this using the "Edit" button on the relevant session. It will have to be approved by the tutor first, or they can also do this for you instantly on their side.

If you need to cancel a few of your upcoming sessions, just click the 'X' next to each session and the rest will be remain.

If you need to change the day or time of all of your regular sessions for the foreseeable future, please ask your tutor to do this for you.

If you need to change the card attached to your regular booking, see here.

It is important, as the billpayer, to keep an eye on your upcoming bookings - even if tutors are managing them.

If you have noticed any discrepancies in your lesson schedule, contact your tutor or Sherpa support for assistance.

Cancelling a Regular Lesson

There are 2 ways you can cancel your regular lessons.

  1. You can click the "X" button next to each individual upcoming lesson to cancel ONLY that session.

  2. You can also cancel all sessions and delete the regular booking by clicking "Cancel all Lessons" in the bottom left corner. This is shown at the bottom of the page on mobile.

Be aware that each cancelled lesson is subject to our refund policy. Any lessons cancelled with less than 12 hours notice will be subject to our late cancellation policy.

If you accidentally cancel a lesson late or it was made by mistake in the first place, please contact your tutor or Sherpa support as soon as possible so we can reverse any late cancellation charge.
