HVAC repairs can be expensive, especially when labor costs add up. With AIG’s labor warranty, you get protection against costly service fees, ensuring that covered repairs are handled efficiently and affordably.

This guide covers what’s included, how claims work, and additional program details like registration, account activation, and transfers.

What’s covered?

AIG’s labor warranty covers the cost of labor for repairing mechanical failures in eligible HVAC systems.

Covered Repairs:

  • Mechanical failures during normal operation

  • Blower motors, compressors, condensers, evaporators, and other major components

  • Labor costs for covered repairs based on AIG’s reimbursement schedule

  • Accessories, if additional coverage was purchased

Excluded Repairs:

  • Repairs due to installation errors

  • Equipment that does not meet manufacturer or industry specifications

  • Repairs to ductwork, field piping, or routine maintenance

  • Service calls for minor issues or system inspections

Account activation (option, but recommended for faster reimbursement)

HVAC pros are not required to set up an AIG account to register program-related installs. However, setting up an account can streamline the reimbursement process for labor warranty claims.

To set up an account:

  1. Complete and sign the Dealer Enrollment Form

  2. Provide a copy of your W9

  3. Provide a copy of your certificate of insurance

Email all three documents to:

Once AIG processes the documents, the pro will receive a "Welcome" email with their dealer ID (AIG account number).

How to file a labor warranty claim

For Pros With an AIG Account

  • Claim labor warranties directly through AIG’s portal for faster processing.

For Pros Without an AIG Account

All claims must be submitted within 60 days of the repair.

How to file a parts warranty claim

Once a pro has repaired the equipment under warranty, the distributor must submit a warranty claim via the ServiceBench system.

  • The claim will go through the adjudication process for approval.

  • Once approved, warranty credit will be issued to the distributor.

This process applies only to parts claims, not labor claims.

Registration process for HVAC warranties

For program-related purchases processed through Sibi, Sibi will handle the registration of:

  • Carrier’s 10-year standard parts warranty

  • AIG’s 10-year labor warranty

If the AIG extended 10-year labor warranty is required on an order, it will be automatically added, and the pro must submit payment at checkout.

How to transfer a labor warranty

To transfer an AIG labor warranty, complete the Request to Transfer form and follow the submission instructions at the bottom of the form.

Why is AIG required on my order?

AIG warranty coverage is automatically added to select HVAC orders because the client who issued the work order requires warranty coverage to be included. This ensures compliance with their purchasing policies—no extra steps needed on your end.

If you have questions about why AIG was applied to your order, refer to your work order details or reach out to Sibi Support using the chat in the right corner.

Frequently covered HVAC repairs

AIG’s labor warranty applies to a wide range of critical HVAC repairs, including:

  • Blower motor and capacitor replacements

  • Compressor repairs and replacements

  • Condenser and evaporator coil repairs

  • Reversing valve and TXV repairs

  • Electrical component failures, including relays and circuit boards
