If you, as a signer, receive a signing request, follow the steps below to place your signature. These instructions are intended only for the person who needs to sign the document, not for the sender of the signing request.
After you have agreed to the content of the document and, if applicable, completed any verification, you can proceed with signing.
The signing process may differ per signer — this depends on the settings chosen by the sender. In this article, we explain the three possible ways to sign:
Option 1: First and last name + scribble + click "Sign"
Enter your first and last name.
Place your scribble in the designated signature field. You can do this using your mouse, trackpad, or touchscreen.
Not satisfied? Click “Sign again” in the bottom right.
Does your scribble not look like your usual signature? That’s not a problem. Read here why that is.
Click “Sign” in the bottom right corner.
On the next screen, you will see confirmation that your document has been successfully signed.
Option 2: First and last name + click "Sign"
Enter your first and last name.
Click “Sign” in the bottom right corner to complete your signature.
Option 3: Only click "Sign"
You will see a message: “You are now about to sign the document with a digital signature.”
Click “Sign” in the bottom right corner to complete the signing process.
✅ Summary
These instructions are meant for signers who have received a request to digitally sign a document. The sender does not need to take any action in this signing process, except to wait for the signatures.
