How to determine the signature position(s) in Adobe Reader

Updated over a week ago

This support article describes step by step how to determine the digital signature position(s) in the free Adobe Reader PDF software. You can also use our free Evidos App or the drag-and-drop function in our web portal to define the position of the signature.

First download Adobe Reader here

After the installation is complete open the program Adobe Reader and the PDF that needs to be digitally signed.

Next choose the menu Tools on top:

Choose Fill and Sign:

Click the left option; Fill and Sign:

Your document canvas will open and you can select the desired signature position with your mouse. After one click a textbox appears, enter the {{Signer1}} tag for the signature position of the first signatory, see below:

Select the {{Signer1}} text and press the black dot on top to mask the text with a white color:

If needed repeat the steps above for the signature position of the second signatory, however now use the text {{Signer2}}.

Save the PDF:

Done! You can now upload the PDF in your sign request and after the signatories have digitally signed, the signatures will appear on the desired position.
