CSC Qualified verification method

How do I use the CSC Qualified verification method and what does it entail?

Updated over 2 weeks ago

Do you want a signer to sign your document with a qualified electronic signature (QES)? If so, you can use the CSC Qualified verification method. This verification method covers a number of qualified signature providers including Entrust, Itsme and ZealiD.

Depending on which providers are active under your account, the signer can choose which provider they want to use for placing their signature. In all cases, a fully legal qualified electronic signature is placed on your document.

The verification method CSC Qualified is not available in the web portal by default. Would you like to add CSC Qualified to your Signhost portal? Please contact us!

How do you use the CSC Qualified verification method?

  1. Choose the verification method 'CSC Qualified' when adding the signatory.

  2. Turn on the slider for "sign in order". This ensures that signers sign one after the other, and the signing process with CSC is not disrupted by simultaneous signing attempts.

  3. Complete the transaction as usual, by uploading one or more documents and adding the desired settings. Send the transaction.

  4. The signer gets to choose from the CSC providers you choose to offer during the verification step in the signing process.

CSC Qualified providers

Are you not using CSC Qualified or (one of) the providers below yet? Reach out to us!

Signhost QES

With Signhost QES, the signer can apply a qualified digital signature without having to download an app first. This solution is ideal for situations where signers only need to provide a qualified signature once or occasionally.

Read our article on Signhost QES for more information.

ZealiD Qualified

Read our article on ZealiD to learn more about the signing process when choosing to use the ZealiD authentication method.

Itsme Sign

Read our article on the itsme verification method for more information on the signing process when choosing to use itsme Sign.

Please note:

  • Itsme Sign only supports the placement of 1 signature per signer per document.

  • We also offer an advanced signing method from itsme: itsme identification. This method does not create a QES. You can recognize it by the signature seal that is added to the signed document. With itsme Sign, the name of the signer is always shown; this is not the case with itsme identification.
