Omni is the Simpology Manager Assessment Solution that is used to assess submitted applications through to settlement.

Omni is configurable. You are able to configure:

  • Assessment workflows and statuses

  • Omni User Access, Permissions, and Roles

  • Integrations with third party services that are part of your assessment workflows

  • Conditional and Formal Approval workflows

  • Automated business rules and decisioning logic

  • Outputs of the Assessment flow (eg Assessment summaries)

  • and much more

Because it is a Solution, Omni has its own url and can be accessed either from within Simpology Manager; or directly via its own url.

Omni is connected to all the other solutions within Simpology:

Configuring Omni

To use Omni, you first need to Configure Omni. There are a number of aspects to consider in your configuration of Omni. Please refer to this Master Omni Configuration article.

Omni Solution (Interface)

The Omni Module is the solution (interface) that you use to Assess an application.

When an application is submitted, it will create a record in Omni. You will work on the Omni record for an application via the Omni Workbench.

The Omni Workbench

The Omni Workbench allows you to work on the assessment of an Application record. You will be able to, among other things:

  • see, and be guided through the tasks are required to be completed to assess the application from submission through to settlement

  • Order (and see the outcomes) of third party services (eg Credit bureau, Valuation, Title Search)

  • Generate any forms that should be created throughout assessment (eg Approval letters)

  • Request (and receive) Missing Information from brokers and applicants

  • See the outcome of any business/decisioning rules that have been run against the application data

  • Conditionally, and formally, approve applications

  • Generate (and send) solicitors instructions

  • Submit the finalised, new mortgage into Core Banking for account creation

The Omni Solution itself is the interface that presents to users (eg Assessors) their allocated Assessment tasks and workflows. Its a workbench that allows a person to work on application assessment tasks from submission through to approval and settlement.

Everything in Omni is configurable. A Lender can configure:

  • the Assessment Processes and Tasks that define what needs to be done to assess an application

  • What digital services are to be used in the assessment

  • What Forms are to be generated in an assessment

  • Who can participate in the assessment, and when/how

  • conditional and formal approval workflows

  • settlement workflows

  • and more

Note that Statuses can be configured to also be communicated downstream as Backchannel messages and Status in Loanapp (ie to brokers, and other network partners, and even applicants).

In it's simplest form, an Omni workflow is:

  • Status 1, which triggers Process 1 (with a set of Action items/tasks)

  • Pass (or Fail) of Process 1 which then triggers:

    • Pass: a new status and Process 2a (with a set of Action items/tasks)

    • Fail: a new status and Process 2b (with a set of Action items/tasks)

  • Pass (or Fail) of Process 2 which then triggers:

    • Pass: a new status and Process 3a (with a set of Action items/tasks)

    • Fail: a new status and Process 3b (with a set of Action items/tasks)

  • and so on.

Accessing Omni

The Omni Solution (Interface) can be accessed in a few different ways:

  1. Via the Simpology Manager Menu Ribbon. Go to Solutions/Omni to be taken to Omni. When you access Omni in this way, the Omni interface will be unfiltered (ie you will not land in Omni for any particular application).

  2. On the Application Grid, by clicking the Omni icon on a particular Application Record. When you access Omni in this way, the Omni interface will be filtered to show you the tasks of the Application you had selected in the Application grid. In the following example, I would be taken to the Assessment workflow for APP-20778, Johnson Refinance:

  3. From inside Loanapp, you can click on the Information icon in the ribbon menu. When you access Omni in this way, the Omni interface will be filtered to show you the tasks of the Loanapp Application (note: there may be no tasks until the application is submitted and an assessment workflow is triggered)

  4. Direct Login. If you are an assessor, you might prefer to work solely in Omni. You can access Omni directly rather than via Simpology Manager. Go to https://omni.simpology.com.au and use the credentials (your email and whatever password you have set) to login.

Omni Permissions

As a user, you MUST have an Omni Permission in your user profile in order to have access to, and be able to use Omni.

What you can do when you have access to Omni will depend on the Permissions you have been granted/are attached to your Role.

If you find you can't use Omni, the first thing you should check is the Permissions in your user profile. You may need an Admin to add the correct Permission.

You can manage permissions for Omni in Simpology Manager/ Account/ Security/ Permissions:

In the Role Based Permissions section, you are able to then select the Solution: Simpology Omni to set permissions for users in Omni:

You can then choose or create Permission Groups (which are Roles that you assign users); and set the permissions for each Permission Group. In the following example, I have chosen/created the Permission Group of Assessor, and then set what they can/can't do with their access to Omni:

To then give a user this exact set of permissions for their Omni access, you need to go to Simpology Manager/Organisation/People:

And then search for the person you want to set the Omni Permission for, and add the Permission to their profile:

Remember to click Save to set the permission.
