Allocate an application to an Assessor

When an application is submitted, how applications are allocated to Assessors

In terms of who will work on the Assessment of a deal, Lenders will generally either:

  • allocate a deal to an assessor; and the assessor 'owns' the deal for the whole assessment workflow.

  • allocate specific tasks to specific teams or people - this might mean that a deal is worked on by many different people during assessment. eg the Settlement tasks might be handled by the Settlement team.

  • Or a combo of 'whole deal ownership' mixed with specific tasks by specific people.

This article describes how each of these work

Manually allocate a deal to an assessor, for 'whole deal ownership'

Where you like to have an assessor 'own' the complete assessment, you will need to 'allocate' the deal to that assessor when it is first submitted. You can allocate deals via the Application Grid:

Find the deal that you want to allocate, and select it by ticking this box:

And then in the Co-ordinator dropdown, find the person you want to allocate the deal to, and then click "allocate":

You will get a popup confirming the allocation:

When this is done, you will note that the Coordinator for this deal has changed to Mary Assessor:

This will mean when Mary is in the Omni record, she will be able to see that the deal has been assigned to her with the first Assessment tasks outstanding:

And if I am someone other than Mary, (eg a Manager), I can see that each of the tasks have been assigned to Mary:

Automatically allocate Assessment tasks to specific people/teams

As a Lender, you may handle assessments by having specific people or teams that handle specific tasks in an assessment eg:

  • valuations team may handle the valuation process

  • settlement team may handle the deal once it is formally approved and in the loan docs/settlement stages

If this is the case, you can configure your Omni workflow to automatically allocate deals to specific people, based on the status change and/or newly triggered process at that time.

This is handled/managed in the Action item configuration.
