During assessment, you might want to allocate a particular task to another team-member, because they 'specialise' in that task; or for any other reason.
You can allocate a task directly to a particular Person (eg another assessor).
Many Lenders will have specific Teams configured in their Assessment flows - eg they might have a Settlement Team who take over a deal when it is ready for Doc Prep and settlement. You can also allocate a task to a "Team"...and then a particular person in the team, or just to the Team - and let Omni allocate the person.
How to allocate an Action Item
In all Action Items, you will be able to allocate the item to another person by clicking "Delegate":
This will make a popup appear, with all the controls for delegating the Action item:
The Channel is your brand. Unless you have sub-brands (eg white-labels), this will not have any other options.
If you do have other options, and select a sub-brand - then the request will be sent 'by' that sub-brand
Who you are delegating the task to
Role is often used (eg if you select Role: Assessor, you will get all your assessors to choose from)
Team is often used (eg, you could select the Settlements Team)
Message Branding is again related to sub-brands, if you have them
Instructions - any instructions that you note here will be added to the Action Item
Auto Complete when done - this will 'Pass' the Action item completely when your delegated person completes the task.
IF you want to review what they have done before completing the task, don't tick this
Delegate will change the ownership of the task, and send a message to your delegated person
Eg - in the following example I am delegating the LMI task to my colleague Bob, with some instructions:

When you hit send, the Action Item status will change to "Waiting":
If I go back into the action item, I can see the details:

When you hit 'delegate', your target will get an email notification:
Bob Assessor can then login to Simpology Manager, find the deal, and go to Omni:
Once in the Omni Record, Bob should filter to:
If Bob clicks on the Action item, he can see all the detail including the message from Mary:
Bob will complete the task at hand (he might use Omni functions or do off-system). When he is ready to tell Mary that the task is completed, he can add a detail of his activities (remember to click SAVE!) and even upload related documents:
and then click "Done":
This will trigger a final "are you sure":
And Bob will no longer have the Action Item as an Open item (he can see it again if he clicks on All Tasks; and "Activity Status" Complete):
What happens when a delegated person completes your task?
When a delegated person completes one of your tasks, you will get an email notification that the task has been completed:
And then when Mary logs back in to the application, she will see Bob's work:
Mary can then download any documents to view them (or depending on the Task - review Digital Widget; review changes in Loanapp or the Assessment Summary). When satisfied that the task is completed, she can then Pass the Action Item to mark the Process Complete.
🤩Note that if the delegated task was created with a ✅ against Auto Complete when done....then the Action Item will have auto-completed when Bob clicked Done.
📫 Note also that if a Document had been uploaded/attached to the Action item by Bob - it will be sent to supporting documents module when the Action Item is Completed.
