Want to find one or more contacts in Sion? There are two ways to quickly find what you need, we’ll go over them both in this article.

Note: Depending on if you are a host agency, independent contractor, or in-house agent, you may see different filter options. Not every user has access to every filter.

Global Search

The global search function allows you to look for any data from any place in Sion that matches your search terms. For more information on how to use it, see the article here.

Filter Bar

In the filter bar you have several options for finding clients or suppliers. First, click Contacts in the top menu to open the Contacts page.

Next, select the Client or Suppliers tab based on the results that you want to see.

Now you can use the filters bar to change what’s visible in the queue. The filter bar is located on the left of the Contacts page.

Note that at the top of some filter categories, there is a gear icon. If you want to make an advanced filter, click the icon to select further filter options. Some of the options will change the title of the section.

The ellipses icon next to some filters will show more options for selecting (or deselecting) multiple options at once.

Some filters will also have a magnifying glass icon that lets you search that section. For example, if you know the name of an agent you want to search by, you can click the icon and then enter the agent name instead of scrolling through the list of agent names.

Here’s a breakdown of the different filter options (note that clients and suppliers will have different filter options):

  • Filters - This is a search bar where you can enter a keyword, results will populate in a dropdown.

    • You can either select an option from the dropdown and search specifically for that client or supplier. For example, if you start to type Tim and then select the name Tim Whatley in the dropdown, only results matching Tim Whatley will show.

    • Hit Enter to search for any matching contact for your search. For example, if you type Tim and hit Enter, you will see any results that contain the letters tim together. This can be helpful if you only know part of a supplier or client name or only a section of a set of confirmation numbers.

  • Dates - Use the gear icon, mentioned above, to change what dates you filter by. The filter selected will change this section name. For example, if you select Created, this section will be called Created and will filter contacts based on the date they were made in the system.

  • Status - Filter by the client status as related to their active status. For more information on inactive contacts, see the article here.

  • Type - Use the checkbox to filter what kind of contact a client or supplier is. A contact can be a leisure or corporate contact while a supplier type is determined by the type of service they offer (i.e. cruises, tours, etc.)

  • Agencies- Use the checkbox to filter clients based on the booking agency or contractors they’ve used.

  • Agents - Use the checkbox to filter clients based on the booking agents they’ve used..

Note: As you filter clients and suppliers, you’ll notice that the top two summary sections will also change. These summaries are based on what’s visible in the queue. You can also use Reporting to update these summaries based on specific criteria. See our article here on reporting.
