Introduction
The Providers feature lets you view your providers, disable them, and add a fallback appointment. In SKED, navigate to Settings > Providers to get started.
Standalone Offices: This is where you can create new providers.
Edit Provider Information
Click on a provider line or the provider name to begin editing that provider's settings.
Edit Provider Display Name
On the Edit Provider pop-up menu, you can change the providerâs display name by clicking the first or last name text field and then typing a new display name for either.
Disable Provider
If you have a provider who is no longer working with your office, or you have another reason to hide the provider and their appointment types from the appointment types list, uncheck the box labeled âEnable Providerâ from the âEdit Provider" pop-up tab or uncheck the box from the main dashboard.
Note: This does not remove the provider completely from SKED; it removes them from messaging, patient portals, and app settings. They can be re-enabled at any time.
Locations
If your office has "Locations" enabled, use the dropdown to choose a location for this provider.
Enable/Set Fallback Appt Type
If you would like clients who have not visited your office within a specified timeframe to default to a particular appointment type, select this checkbox, then enter the number of days and the appointment type they should fall back to.
For example, if a patient has not been seen in six months and requires a Re-Exam, you can enter 180 days and then choose the appropriate option from the âFallback Appointment Typeâ dropdown menu. When the timeframe is met, the patient will be required to schedule the selected appointment type.
This feature calculates the timeframe based on the most recent appointment marked as Arrived and does not consider missed appointments.
Save Edits
To save changes to a provider, click the blue Save icon in the top right corner of the pop-up.
Show Disabled Providers
Click this checkbox to reveal providers that were previously disabled.
Appointment Types
The dashboard shows how many active appointments types there are for each provider. Click the link to go to the appointment types available for that provider. To learn more about editing appointment type settings, click here.
