Notification Settings

Introduction

Got questions? View the FAQ’s section at the bottom of this article!

SKED offers options to customize the types of Notifications your office receives and how frequently you'd like to receive them. If you're looking for more control over the flow of notifications your office sees, Notification Settings is the place to go to customize your experience. To open Notification settings, click the “Settings” button in the blue navigation bar, and then click “Notifications”

Clicking ‘Notifications’ will bring you to this page, where you can customize your notification settings.

Set Appt Change Notifications

This setting lets you receive email reports containing appointment changes through the SKED App and Online Portal. Use the drop-down tab to set the frequency of these notifications. You can choose between Minute, Hourly, Daily, Weekly, or Monthly reports or disable them with “Never.”

How it works: If your office received 10 appointment changes in an hour and had its alerts set to “minute,” it would have received several emails almost immediately after each appointment change. However, if your office had chosen “Hour” instead, it would have received a single email containing all 10 appointment changes during that hour.

The benefit of this system is that accurate appointment data can be communicated to your office at regular intervals. Your office can decide how to balance the frequency of notifications you receive.

Note: You will only receive Email notifications if appointment changes were actually made.

Enable SMS Notification Emails

This setting allows you to opt into email notifications when a patient texts the office. If your office could benefit from an additional notification showing recent SMS responses, click the checkbox and highlight it in blue.

Enable Error Notification Emails

This is an option to receive emails indicating which clients had an email bounce and/or which clients have a missing phone number or email address. If you’d like this option for your office, click the checkbox so that it is highlighted blue, and then choose a time to receive these emails every day by typing in the text box or clicking the clock icon and setting a custom time.

Use Your Custom Email

This option is intended for those who want to send emails from their own office domain. This step isn't for you if you use an email address ending in @gmail.com, @yahoo.com, etc. Domain verification can only be applied to domains you own and control, so public email services like Gmail and Yahoo cannot be verified through SKED.

Once your domain is verified, you’ll be able to send emails from SKED using any address associated with that domain. For example, after verifying mydomain.com, you can send emails from any @mydomain.com address.

To begin the process of verifying your email, toggle on the "Enable verification" setting.

You can then enter your email address you want email notifications to come from and click "Start the Domain Verification Process".

Note: When setting this up, make sure to enter your full email address (e.g., frontdesk@zbestchiro.com).

Once the email is submitted, the DNS records will show that need to be added to the website that hosts your domain. To learn more about this process, please click the link below.
