📝 Overview
SKED’s updated calendar allows you to view your schedule and create new appointments.
You can switch between day or week view and filter by a specific provider schedule or calendar.
📅 Creating an Appointment
To create an appointment:
Click on the date and time where you’d like to schedule.
In the scheduler, locate the client you’d like to schedule for.
Check the box next to the client’s name and click Next.
Verify the appointment date, time, and type.
Click Save.
Once you’ve finished, close the scheduler.
👤 Scheduling for a New Client
If you’d like to schedule an appointment for a new patient, follow the same steps.
When you get to the scheduler:
Click the Add Clients button to create a new client.
Fill out the client’s information, then click Save.
Proceed by clicking Next to pick the appointment date and time.
The appointment, along with the client information you entered, will sync to your EHR system.
🎨 Calendar Details
Appointments on the calendar are color-coded either by default or by the colors set in the Appointment Types tab.
Click on the key to view which color corresponds with which appointment code.
You can also use the scheduler to locate a specific client or to create a new one.
🔵 Appointment Status Indicators
The calendar provides a visual of each past appointment’s status:
A black dot means the appointment has not been arrived, indicating it is still scheduled.
Once the appointment has been arrived in your EHR system or within SKED, the dot will change to green.
🔍 Viewing and Managing Appointments
To view an appointment in detail:
Click on the appointment and choose View Appointment.
To mark an appointment as arrived:
Click Mark as Arrived within SKED.
To reschedule an appointment:
Click and drag the appointment to a new time slot.
Click Yes to confirm.
⚙️ Additional Features
To print a report of appointments:
Click the Print icon.
To adjust calendar settings:
Click the Settings Gear.
Within Settings, you can:
Adjust the size of appointment cells
Choose how patient names are displayed
Change the appointment interval
If you have multiple providers, you can group by professional in day view for a clear visual of each provider’s schedule.
