Reactivation Messaging

Automatically re-engage patients who haven’t had an appointment in a set timeframe using SKED’s reactivation messaging feature.

📝 Overview

The Reactivation Messaging feature in SKED helps you reconnect with patients who haven’t visited your office within a specific period. These automated messages encourage patients to schedule their next appointment — saving you time while boosting patient engagement and retention.

💬 Reactivation Messaging Tutorial

In this tutorial, I'm going to review reactivation messaging.

This feature will automatically send a message to patients who have not been in for an appointment for a certain amount of time.

The reactivation feature can be found within the Automated Messages category in the blue SKED menu.

To get started, click Compose or choose from a template in the SKED Templates folder.

Review the message name and choose who should receive this message.

If you would like this message to reach patients who have not been scheduled with any appointments in X number of days, be sure to select all of your appointment types.

By default, reactivation messages will be sent to active patients only.

However, you can select the Send to Inactive Clients option to send the message to inactive patients who meet the requirements as well.

Next, choose when you would like your message to send, and compose your message.

To review — this reactivation message will be sent at 11:02 a.m. to any patient who has not been scheduled with any of the selected appointment types in exactly 14 days, and does not have any of the selected appointment types scheduled in the future.

When you have finished composing your message, enable it and click Save.

You will also be able to see which patients scheduled an appointment after receiving a reactivation message.

To view this information, select the message and open the Sent Messages folder to view the Next Appointment Time column.

You can also filter the list to show patients with or without a future appointment.
