📝 Overview
The SKED New Patient Portal allows practices to streamline the onboarding process for new clients by providing an easy-to-use online scheduling and intake system. You can create multiple portals for different office locations, personalize the look and feel with your branding, and decide whether new patients can schedule directly or request an appointment.
🌐 Accessing the New Patient Portal
You can access this feature in the blue side menu under the Marketing category.
This feature allows you to set up multiple new patient portals for different locations.
🏗️ Creating a New Patient Portal
To get started, click Create and name your location.
Next, review each setting:
Allow Same Day Scheduling – choose whether or not new clients can schedule same-day appointments.
Schedule Appointment Directly Into SKED – choose whether new clients can schedule directly into your SKED schedule or simply request an appointment.
If this setting is not checked, new patients will only be able to request an appointment.
📅 Appointment Types
Next, choose the appointment types you’d like to have available for new patients to choose from.
Be sure to click Add after selecting your appointment types.
You can click and drag the appointment types to rearrange the order in which they appear on the portal.
If you would like to hide the professional name from the appointment selection list on the new patient portal, check this box.
🎨 Branding and Customization
In the Branding section, you can customize the portal with your office logo and office colors.
Next, add your custom referral options.
In the Custom Directions section, you can add personalized directions for:
Picking a date and time
Entering client contact details
The Landing Page Description will be displayed on the portal underneath your office logo.
The Confirmation Page Description will be displayed on the appointment confirmation page after the new patient submits their appointment.
💾 Saving and Sharing the Portal
Once you have finished customizing your new patient portal, scroll down and click Save.
After saving your settings, you can embed the new patient portal into your website by copying the provided code.
You can also click “Link to Portal” to open your new patient portal or email this link directly to clients.
👀 Viewing the Portal
Here you will see all of the customizations you created, such as:
The description
Your office logo
New patient appointment options
Your office colors
After choosing an appointment date and time, your new patient will enter their contact details.
Once the form is submitted, your patient will be brought to your customized confirmation page.
🧾 Viewing Scheduled Clients
On the New Patient Portal tab, you can click Scheduled Clients to see who has signed up using the portal.
