AppFolio is a property management solution that integrates with SmartRent to automatically sync units, leases, residents, and work orders. The integration will also perform Automatic Move-Ins and Move-Outs which grants residents access to their home and sends an email inviting them to download the SmartRent Resident Mobile App.
To integrate with SmartRent, you must be subscribed to AppFolio Plus. SmartRent can NOT integrate with AppFolio Core.
Setting Up an AppFolio Plus Integration:
Before you begin, you must first reach out to your AppFolio representative to create login credentials (API Key and Secret) within the AppFolio portal for SmartRent to utilize. Once you have those credentials, you can integrate AppFolio in SmartRent by following these steps:
Click Settings in the top bar menu
Click Imports in the left sidebar menu
Input the API Key and Secret under AppFolio Integration
Click Save
Click Home in the top bar menu
Click on the desired Community
Click Settings in the left sidebar menu
Click Integrations
Click AppFolio
Click the Overview tab towards the top of the page
Click Enable Integration
Click the Property Settings tab towards the top of the page
Enable desired data to be synced (Unit, Resident, Automatic Move-In/Move-Out, Work Order)
Click Save when all desired changes have been made
