SmartRent uses Projects, Jobs, and Tasks to help organize and manage the installation process. Each layer of the process has its own purpose to maintain efficiency.
Projects, Jobs, and Tasks:
A Project is typically the umbrella under which Jobs are housed and is associated with an entire community
Example: Retro-fit all homes at Southwest Plaza with new smart locks
Jobs are more specific than Projects, in that they are associated to individual homes or units
Example: Install smart lock at Unit 410
Tasks are individual actions that need to be completed
Example: Mount the lock to the door, pair the lock to the hub, and take a picture of the installation
