How Do I Create or Delete a Task in Alloy Install?

Tasks are individual actions (such as device installs, image uploads, or simply checking a box) that need to be completed in order to finalize a Job. For additional info, please refer to our What is the Difference Between Projects, Jobs, and Tasks in Alloy Install? article.

Creating Tasks within a Job:

To create a Task within a Job, follow these steps:

  1. Log in to the Alloy Install App

  2. On the Home screen, tap Jobs under the search bar

  3. Use the search bar to find the desired Job

  4. Tap on the desired Job

  5. Tap the + in the bottom right hand corner

  6. Tap Task Type

  7. Choose the desired Task Type

  8. Tap the Check Mark icon in the top right hand corner

    • Depending on the Task Type you choose, you may need to input or select additional details (i.e., when choosing Device Install, you will need to select which device to install)

  9. Name the Task

  10. Add a Description if desired

  11. Tap Submit

Deleting a Task:

To delete an existing Task, following these steps:

  1. Log in to the Alloy Install App

  2. On the Home screen, tap Jobs under the search bar

  3. Use the search bar to find the desired Job

  4. Tap on the desired Job

  5. Tap the on the Task to be deleted

  6. Tap Delete Task
