SmartRent Manager
Features
Stuck Code Banner - To increase lock reliability, SmartRent Manager will proactively alert users when codes become stuck on locks due to low power or connectivity issues. The banner helps explain why a lock may not be unable to process codes. This release allows users to troubleshoot and resolve lock issues for uninterrupted unit access.
Device Health Details - Our unit overview page has been updated to show more detailed information about device health. It now includes:
Warning Status - SmartRent Manager will now show when a device is in a warning state.
Battery Levels - percentage of battery left.
Battery Updated At - When SmartRent Manager last received battery information from the device.
Access Codes - If all access codes are up to date (only for locks).
Last Heartbeat - When SmartRent Manager last received an update from the device (only for supported devices).
This information will help community teams identify and troubleshoot device issues without having to navigate to each individual device page.
Auto-Close Old System Generated Work Orders - To improve system performance and reduce unused work orders, SmartRent Manager will automatically close all system-created work orders after 90 days. Clients may configure this to a shorter duration, but the maximum is 90 days.
Offline Lock Banner - This release empowers community staff to identify and address when locks become offline due to low batteries, network connectivity problems, or other issues.
Yardi Variable Tour Sources - Property teams can now attribute unique lead sources from their Yardi PMS instance to SmartRent’s Self-Guided Tours. This provides clients with additional marketing attribution capabilities and improves day-to-day, lead-to-lease conversion activities.
Sort Tourable Units Table - Users managing tourable units for properties can now navigate through the tourable units table with more efficiency through the addition of filters and sortable headers.
SGT Report - Confirm Enablement - This feature informs users about the costs of the Self-Guided Tours feature through new descriptions and a confirmation process, ensuring users knowingly agree to the charges before activation.
Bug Fixes
In this update we fixed a bug relating to our Brivo CSV mapping process. This bug prevented SmartRent Manager from accurately generating Brivo community access credentials. This now functions as expected.
Additionally, we fixed issues with generating data in our reports set system. Previously clients were unable to auto-include new properties when current specific properties were selected, and were unable to download certain device reports. This now functions as expected.
Resident App
Features
SmartRent Packages - Residents in communities with Work Management can now be notified about, view, and comment on packages delivered to their site's office within the Resident App.
Report Device Reliability Issues - Residents can now report device problems to help our teams identify trends and improve reliability. These key details will enable our teams to enhance device reliability proactively.
Bug Fixes
Background Refresh - We’ve fixed an issue where the Smart Home tab would appear to “pull” to refresh on its own when performing background refresh for data syncs.
Battery indicators - Previously we were not showing Battery indicators if the Ring device used them. We have added these back.
Offline Mode - Offline mode now disables online-only actions as intended. Online-only actions include changing the temperature setpoint on the thermostat card and other actions that require internet connectivity.
Access Control
Features
Removal of "Card and PIN" Option - We have simplified the user interface by removing the "Card and PIN" option from temporary and default door modes.
Renaming of Controller Names - The controller codenamed "Warbler" in the user interface is now officially renamed to "AAC-2001".
Addition of Cascading Position List to Elevator Detail Page - We added a new section that clearly displays the cascade position of each panel for easier configuration by installers.
Self-Guided Tours
Features
Click to Unlock - Prospects no longer need to keep track and use multiple codes on a tour. The click-to-unlock button streamlines the prospect experience via reducing pin codes while showcasing smart home tech. These user interface updates provide prospects with the pertinent information about their tourable units. To enable this feature, simply toggle the Click to Unlock configuration button in the Tours General Settings. This article walks through the steps to enable the Click to Unlock feature, and includes answers to frequently asked questions.
Pass SMS Opt-In to Funnel - If enabled by the property, prospects have the option to opt-in to marketing messages from Funnel directly in the Self-Guided Tours platform. This opt-in allows property teams to maintain a closed feedback loop with prospects. This feature also enables easier follow-up and communications, and can increase lead-to-lease conversion. It can also help support the property team’s workflows.
