Community Manager Web 1.92
Features
Ring Doorbell Status Report - This feature will provide a status report for all Ring doorbells installed by our field team. This report will include the following fields:
Property Name, Property ID, Unit ID, Unit Status, Ring Mac ID, Ring Camera Link, and Installation Date. This report will provide visibility to Ring Devices across all properties. To enable and download this report:
Click the Reports tab on the top navigation bar
Click on the toggle to the left of the report name. (Note: It takes 24 hours for data to populate after a report is enabled.)
Select Ring Doorbell Status Report
Click on the Download button
Revoke Credential in My Access Tab - We have added the ability to manage credentials on the My Access tab, giving users with access to multiple properties a centralized area to make changes. Users need the access delete permission to revoke applicable credentials for common areas at a given property.
To revoke credentials, click the My Access tab on the top navigation → Select the appropriate property → Click on the red trash can to the right of the credential.
Updates to Unit Page Quick Filters - This update changed the Devices Installed filter name to Units with Devices Installed. This filter shows the total units with a minimum of one device installed. Please note that hubs do not count as a device. This change was made to provide more clarity to users.
Tooltip messages have been added to help explain the metrics for both filters:
Units with Devices Installed: A unit with at least one device installed, not including hubs.
Hub Offline > 24 Hrs: A hub that fell offline (disconnected from the internet) and has not reconnected within 24 hours of falling offline.
Alloy Home (Builders)
Features
Thermostat Property Device Configuration - We have redesigned the existing Thermostat Settings page to provide a more user-friendly experience. To find the Thermostat Settings page navigate to Property Settings → Property Device Config → Thermostat Settings. Here users will have the ability to configure alert settings as well as vacant and model unit thermostats.
Apply Vacant Unit Temperature Defaults to Model Units - Vacant Unit Temperature Defaults will now apply to model units, removing a previously manual process. The Vacant Unit Temperature Defaults Settings is now named Vacant/Model Unit Thermostat Settings. To find this setting navigate to Property Settings → Property Device Config → Thermostat Settings; scroll to Vacant/Model Unit Thermostat Settings. Users will be able to set default settings for both During Business Hours and After Business Hours.
Community Defaults Property Lock Configuration - Users can now set default lock settings for newly created organizations. Navigate to Organization Settings → Community Defaults → Property Lock Settings. Here, users are able to choose certain lock settings to be applied throughout their new organization; these settings include Lock Vacant Units, Lock Model Units, Lock Sound Effects, Privacy Lock, Auto Lock Timer, and Battery Threshold.
Community Defaults Tours Marketing Theme - Users can now additionally set community default settings for Tours Marketing Theme for newly created communities. Navigate to Organization Settings → Community Defaults → Marketing Theme Defaults. Self-Guided Tours 2.53
Features
Limit How Frequently We Send Motion SMS - This update limits the frequency of text notifications for motion alerts in units set up for tours. Previously, users would receive text notifications in real-time when a tour sensor was activated. Now, users signed up for Tour Motion alerts will receive a text notification no more than every two (2) minutes. This limitation reduces redundant and potentially distracting notifications. To set up Tour Motion Notifications, go to Settings → Staff → Notification Settings → Tour Motion Settings.
Verbiage for Prospects Touring with a Realtor - We have added a feature that helps realtors and brokers receive credit for their involvement with a prospective renter. When enabled, this feature provides clients a way to verify who assisted the prospect throughout the leasing process so that they can receive credit. When scheduling a tour, prospects will have the ability to note if they’re working with an agent/broker and the respective name. This can also be done in Community Manager Web when inviting a prospect to schedule a tour. Note: Tours UI text is customizable, go to Settings → Tours → Prospect Information.
ILM Integration - We have added the capability to send prospect tour appointments and guest card information to ILM, a comprehensive lead management solution, that helps multifamily organizations increase revenue by focusing on leasing activities that produce the most value. This solution is specifically designed to help clients make the most of their time by organizing and prioritizing their sales funnel, improving lead management, converting more leads, and communicating with prospects more effectively.
Tour Table Update - We have enhanced the filtering capability within the Tours table in Community Manager Web by providing the ability to filter by prospect’s Last Name and Tour Status. This saves time and assists in the management of tour data. Navigate to this feature by opening an existing property and clicking on Tours in the left side menu, next click on the filter icon () at the top right and choose between the available filters. Note: Selecting multiple tour statuses’ simultaneously is not supported, though it is possible to filter by name and tour status.
Resident Mobile 2.21/Alloy SmartHome 1.13
Features
Alloy Access Guest Codes Now Available for iOS - In the last update, we launched this feature for Android only. Now Residents using iOS at Communities with Alloy Access can create Guest Codes. Guests will receive an SMS or email with their unit and/or community pin code.
As a reminder: Access Passes will only appear for Residents if the community utilizes Alloy Access Readers on their community doors.
Introducing In-App Reviews for Android Devices - App reviews are an effective channel for Residents to share feedback about their experience with SmartRent. Starting with this release, the Android app will prompt Residents for a review after they complete key tasks within the SmartRent app (i.e. repeated use of door locks, schedules, etc.)
Bug Fixes
iOS
“Stay Signed In” Feature Does Not Work - This fixes an issue where Residents had to sign in to the app even though they had enabled “Stay Signed In”. Residents who have selected “Stay Signed In” will now only be asked to sign in if they formally logged out or reset their password.
Filter Activity By Date Does Not Work- This fixes an issue where Residents would attempt to filter for 7-day activity and it would return no results even though there was activity. The 7-day activity is now displaying.
Temperature Changes from Celsius to Fahrenheit Unexpectedly - This fixes an issue where the app would incorrectly show Fahrenheit instead of Celsius after the temperature was adjusted. (Ex. A resident has a thermostat set to 25 ℃ and tries to adjust it to 27℃, the thermostat would display the equivalent temperature in ℉.)
New Access Code Only Shows After Refreshing the Page - This fixes an issue where Residents would not see their new code immediately after requesting it. Residents had to leave the Access Code screen and then return to it in order to see the new code they just created. The Access Code screen now immediately shows the new code.
Alloy Access Bluetooth Pass Doesn’t Show on App Dashboard - This fixes an issue where Residents who had Alloy Access Bluetooth Locks in their community could not access their passes directly from the main dashboard of the app. They will now see their pass on the Dashboard.
Activity Feed Limits the Devices That Can Be Filtered -
This fix addresses Resident confusion about what devices can have their activity filtered on the Activity screen. Residents were previously only offered devices with activity during the specified timeframe. We now show all devices as filter options regardless of the date range selected.
Changes to Device Status Are Only Shown After App is Forced Closed - This fixes an issue where Residents would make a change to a device manually or through the app and it would not appear in the Activity Feed. The Activity Feed now immediately updates to show the current device status.
App Crashes When Attempting to Open the Marketplace Page - This fixes an issue where tapping on the Marketplace tile would cause the app to crash. Tapping on the Marketplace tile will now open the Marketplace screen in the app.
