SmartRent Manager
Features
Maintenance Team Member Report - We have created a new report called The Maintenance Team Member Report, which gives users detailed insight into the activity of maintenance team members, particularly regarding their interactions with access codes. This report will contain the following information.
Property Name: The name of the property as listed in SmartRent Manager.
Property ID: The unique ID of the property from the PMS system.
First and Last Name: Names of the maintenance team members from SmartRent Manager.
Created: Date when the team member's profile was created in SmartRent Manager.
Deleted: Date when the profile was deleted from SmartRent Manager, if applicable.
Last Code Viewed At: The most recent date the team member viewed an access code in SmartRent Manager.
For vendors who haven't viewed a code within 30 days, the report will display “No Code Viewed.”
This report filters data from the last 30 days on a rolling basis. Users must have the View Property, View Vendor, and View Access Codes permissions to view this report.
Please note that this report is disabled by default.
Jammed Lock Banner - Users will now see a banner when they view a lock device page and the lock is in a jammed state. The primary goal of this update is to enable site teams to better understand and promptly address issues related to locks in a jammed state, reducing the need for extensive support team intervention. Below is the copy that the user will see:
This lock is jammed!
This lock has reported a jammed lock event. This can be caused by a low battery or physical defect with the lock or door jam. Please inspect the lock and door jam to resolve.
Offline Hub Banner - Now, when a hub is offline, users will see a banner on the Hub or Unit page to promote better understanding and troubleshooting of hubs in an offline state.
This unit’s hub is offline!
We’re having trouble communicating with this hub in this unit. We recommend physically inspecting the hub to bring it back online. Additional devices in this unit are offline. This is currently affecting [X] other devices.
This feature will enable site teams to quickly identify and address the primary cause of device disconnections, reducing the need for extensive support team involvement.
Work Management
Features
Session Security Improvements - This update to Work Management will improve overall security as well as the user experience. Once the update is in place, there will be new session timeouts for both the web platform and mobile app depending on if the user has biometrics enabled or disabled. Timeouts occur when a user exits the app or web platform and re-authentication is necessary. Users with biometrics enabled will remain logged in longer and will have more convenient access to the platform. Re-authentication timeout durations post-release will be:
Work Management mobile app with biometrics ENABLED - the defaults for when biometrics are enabled are less strict:
14-day idle timeout
14-day absolute timeout
Work Management mobile app with biometrics DISABLED - the defaults for this scenario are the same as for Work Management for web, and are in line with industry standards:
30-minute idle timeout
12-hour absolute timeout
We highly encourage enabling biometrics when accessing the platform to improve the authentication process, allowing users to use their face or fingerprint as an identifier rather than inputting their username and password manually. This update is scheduled for release on February 3, 2024. Please see this help article for more information.

Bug Fixes
Allow Managers to Create, Update, and Delete doors - For Schlage and Salto sites we have fixed an issue where the Add Doors button was not appearing for the manager user role. With this fix, managers are now able to create, update, and remove doors within a Schlage and Salto site.
