Community Manager - Web
Version: 1.60.0
Release Date: 6.24.2020
| NEW FEATURES
Manager Guest Access Codes Update - We’ve added a new feature to allow property managers to optionally specify manager guest code’s digits. There is now also a field to optionally add a purpose for the code. These custom manager guest codes can be utilized in non-occupied units without having to worry about having an associated user with the code.
Unit Transfers 1.0 - We are launching the first official rollout of our unit transfers feature which will focus on successfully handling any impacted system functionality on the hub level so that we can still provide SmartRent services directly to the end-user. This feature will take a unit and all devices associated with a hub and transfer them to a different organization specific to the new homeowner. Transferring the unit into its own environment will allow homeowners to access all the features for Alloy SmartHome, and on the unit’s previous organization we will mark that unit as sold. This workflow is done in Support Web on the unit level, support users with the appropriate permissions will be able to access this workflow and manage unit transfers.
To perform a unit transfer, support will need to complete the following steps:
Go to a unit detail view in Support Web
Click on the kabob in the top right of the unit card, next to the image for a list of actions
Select Transfer Unit
Support get taken to the transfer page where they will need to type in the new organization name where that unit will exist as well as the group associated with that organization
Click Initiate Transfer (This action cannot be undone)
The unit transfer will begin initiating, any steps that failed can be retried
The unit transfer is then complete
| INTERNAL NEW
Equity Rent Roll API Integration - The goal of this is to expand on our current integration with MRI (Equity) by being able to sync units, properties, and residents through an API rather than a CSV upload. This provides a custom-built API to perform a daily sync of these fields into the SmartRent Database.
| IMPROVEMENTS
Make Logo in Emails Transparent - We’ve made improvements to our email templates by making all logos transparent for a more optimal look especially when creating custom email templates.
| BUG FIXES
Pagination Bug Fixes - We’ve fixed pagination on various pages to work more efficiently and as expected.
Terms of Service - The terms of service page no longer crashes.
| PARKING
Alloy Parking 1.0 Initial Resident Parking Release - We are rolling out our first version of Alloy Parking which includes many changes in Community Manager Web on both the property management side as well as resident. To see details of the parking features our first release of Alloy Parking, see our Alloy Parking 1.0 Release Notes.
| TOURS
Community Map Configuration - Property staff can now upload a map file/image to their property configuration settings to provide a current map of the property to the prospect. This assists in helping prospects self navigate around the community to make finding the units they are touring easier. To access this setting go to Tours Settings → Community Maps. We can accept all image file types but recommend a 1280 x 720 jpg for optimal viewing.
Alloy Smarthome App Download Rebranding - Alloy SmartHome users now land on an Alloy SmartHome app download page which will prompt them to install the application upon logging into the resident web. Updating the designs of the onboarding flows will create a more seamless experience for Alloy SmartHome users. We’ve rebranded many of our landing pages and redirects for Alloy SmartHome to be consistent with the homeowner experience as opposed to residents. For details on the Alloy SmartHome changes and feature updates see our Alloy SmartHome 1.1 Release Notes.
