Release Notes (1.45.0) 08/29/2019

SmartRent Release Notes - August 29, 2019 (1.45.0)

Features

Updated Move In/Out Workflows: In order to ensure greater accuracy when moving a resident in or out, we now provide an updated tasked-based UI. When performing a move in/out, the CM Web user will see a list of corresponding tasks working in real-time. If the task fails, the user will be presented with the option to resolve the issue to retry the step.

Automated Move In/Out: We’re excited to release the automated move in and move out for RealPage connected organizations/communities. In short, when the move in or move out action is performed in OneSite/RealPage and then sync’d into SmartRent, residents will be automatically moved in and moved out.

Notify Users About Move In/Out Exceptions: We’ve added a new optional notification type for staff members to receive an email for new move-in/out exceptions within the past hour. This notification type is ideal for communities that have enabled automated move in/out to ensure visibility into tasks that require their attention.

Confirm Alerts Before Creating Work Order: We now confirm the leak, temp, humidity and low battery alerts before creating the work order. We believe this will drastically reduce the number of false-positive work orders our system is creating. Moving forward, work order creation for these automated work order types will follow the following logic:

  • When a temp or humidity value breaks the alert threshold three hours in a row, then create the temp/humidity work order

  • When a leak alert is sustained for two mins, then create a leak work order

  • When a low battery is reporting below the threshold for more than one day, then create low battery work order

Expiring Access Codes Page Updates: In order to clarify and clean up the end-user experience, we’ve updated the landing pages for expiring access code links. When a user receives an access code link, it will include the access code number as well as instructions on how to use the lock.

Vendor and Employee Work Order Assignment: We’ve expanded the capabilities for work order assignment to include users of Community Manager as well as third party vendors. This means maintenance tech’s and managers can now be set up as full users of Community Manager and still be assigned work orders. This also allows a staff member and a vendor to both be assigned and granted access to a work order.

Note: the ability to be assigned a work order is controlled via a role permission found under work order > can be assigned.

Thermostat Controls Installation: We now provide an updated thermostat installation workflow to ensure the mode and heating/cooling setpoints are set before completing device installation.

Default Thermostat Name: In an effort to standardize device naming, when thermostats are added to a hub they will include a default name of Thermostat.
