SmartRent Release Notes - June 20, 2019 (1.41.0)
Request Staff Access Improvements - now, on the group level access tab, when a staff member requests access to a vacant unit we will display the user's vacant staff code IF the code is active and confirmed on the primary lock. As a backup, we will provide the Property Manager Backup code.
Real-time password validation - when creating account users (staff and residents) will now see real-time password validation cues. This will automatically check and confirm all password requirements are met prior to creating the password/account including an uppercase letter, a lowercase letter, a number, a special character, is at least 8 characters and that the passwords match.
Resident Onboarding Improvements - often times we’ve seen that residents are requesting password reset links when they have yet to create their SmartRent account. There are many reasons they might attempt this, however, in all cases we’ve released a new check to ensure a seamless experience for the resident. Going forward if a resident requests a password reset before they have successfully created an account they will receive another copy of their invitation to create an account instead of an erroneous password reset email.
Business Hours Expansion - We’ve expanded the availability window for business hours to open as early as 5 am local time. This will allow maintenance and vendors to begin work orders earlier in the morning. To make this update an organization admin needs to login to the property, visit the property settings page, select Business Hours, and update the open times.
INTERNAL
Super Admin Login Changes - now when logging in to Control Room as a super admin you’ll select from a list of users to impersonate instead of having to first select an org and then a user. You can filter and sort the user list by org, first name, last name, and role.
Hub Troubleshooting - Show Hub Offline Button - we’ve added a hub offline button to the unit hub page for troubleshooting. Now instead of needing to reboot the hub, the user can select hub offline to retrieve the hub online/offline status.
Bugfixes
Push Notification Fixes - we’ve made a fix to the way we handle device tokens from IOS devices receiving push notifications. This increases the accuracy and timing of push notifications sent to residents.
Replacement Code Fix - we’ve fixed a bug that was crashing a process to add/remove access codes from a lock when a process was already in progress. This increases the accuracy of codes being added and removed from the lock without a potential crash or error.
Work Order Complete Push Notification - we’ve resolved a small bug which was preventing push notifications from some users from being sent out when a work order was completed. This will increase the accuracy and timing of notifying residents with enabled push notifications when a work order is completed.
