SmartRent Release Notes - September 12, 2019 (1.46.0)

NEW FEATURES

Hub Uptime: In order to give more exposure to the health and conductivity of a hub, we’ve added a new column to the Hub Health report with the hub uptime. This data will return the number of hours, within the last 24, any given hub was reporting an online status. This value is represented in hours between 0 and 24, with 0 being the hub was offline for the entirety of the day.

‘Select All’ Notification Settings: To simply and quicken the ability to subscribe and unsubscribe a role from notifications, we’ve added select all options. Org Admins can select the checkbox next to email or SMS text in order to quickly enable or disable notifications for all role types.

Okta User Authorization: To enable a higher volume of users logging into SmartRent via Okta, we introduced a new user matching feature with this release. Now when a user belonging to an Okta-enabled organization logs into Community Manager - Web via the SmartRent tile within the Okta platform, their Okta, and SmartRent account will be automatically linked/created. Moving forward, the user will be able to log in via SmartRent or Okta using their Okta credentials.

IMPROVEMENTS

Battery Report Link to Unit: We’ve made a small improvement when selecting a row from the low battery page. We now will direct the user to the unit overview screen where they can see the current battery level regardless of occupancy. Previously, we linked to the device page which, in the case of occupied status, would return an error.

Forgot Password Reset: We’ve made an improvement for when a user enters their password incorrectly too many times. Previously, the user would be locked out of the application for 10 minutes and resetting their password would NOT reset that timer. Now, when the user resets their password, regardless of how long it has been, the user will be whitelisted and be able to login with their new password.

Battery Report Updates: We’ve added the property id and the unit id to the battery report to maintain consistency with other reports.

Brivo User Creation: We’ve added additional error-handling surrounding creating a new Brivo record as part of the new move in and move out process. Now, when a phone number is not provided but is required by Brivo, we will alert the user.

Update My Account: We’ve updated the ‘user > updatepermission to ensure that even if a user does not have permissions they will still be able to update their own account information.

Unit Maintenance Permissions: We’ve updated the unit maintenance view to use existing permissions for the property level. A user with ‘maintenance > view’ permission will see both property and unit-level maintenance tabs.
